What does Sigma Alpha Iota do?
Sigma Alpha Iota is dedicated to promoting music throughout the wide array of forums. Here at Delta Chi we wish to promote music throughout the University of South Florida and the surrounding communities in the Tampa Bay area. Members of SAI are active in all areas of campus music and campus life, working closely with faculty, administration, campus and community groups, music professionals and patrons. In addition to personal encouragement and support, members may receive scholarships, loans and awards in many areas and at all levels of music-related study. Sigma Alpha Iota has long been recognized as a leader in the field of music and provides a lifetime of fraternity contact.
What do you have to pay?
Members-In-Training have a one-time fee of $50, which is due at the time of accepting your invitation to membership. A $250 National Initiation fee is due at the time of the national membership exam. As a sister, semester dues are $100 which covers the cost of most of our events!
What is the time commitment?
SAI is a time commitment. Members-In-Training take weekly quizzes to prepare for the national exam and are required to complete a community service project, fundraiser and a musicale. Sisters have weekly business meetings along with our fundraisers, community service events, musicales, and socials.

Hazing Policy: Hazing is defined as "any action or situation that recklessly or intentionally endangers mental or physical health or any action taken or situation created which produces mental or physical discomfort, embarrassment, harassment, or ridicule." Such activities and situations include road trips, public wearing of apparel which is conspicuous and not normally in good taste, engaging in public stunts, and late work sessions which interfere with scholastic activities.
Sigma Alpha Iota recognizes and affirms that the pre-initiation period is a time for education, inspiration and dedication for the candidate, and a time for the promotion of professionalism, ethics and dignity through exposure to the privileges and responsibilities of membership as exhibited by our college and alumnae chapters.
